We support the arts, culture, science and integration
The »Ringbeck FOUNDATION« is a charitable foundation based in North Rhine-Westphalia. It was founded in 2016 by Prof. Dr Jürgen Ringbeck (Chairman) with the aim of supporting the arts, culture, science and integration, as well as charitable causes. It is active both operationally and as a funding body; it implements its own projects, but also awards grants – in specific cases and subject to a positive assessment.
Since its establishment, the foundation has been particularly involved in a range of projects in the fields of migration, music (jazz, classical) and talent development. The foundation is supported on a case-by-case basis by selected partners and other foundations.
The YOUNG JAZZ TALENT AWARD, which has been held annually since 2022 in collaboration with ‘Jazzschmiede . Düsseldorf’, has established itself within the German jazz scene as a dedicated and professionally organised award for emerging talent. It specifically supports young jazz musicians aged between 16 and 23.

“I am very grateful to have taken part in the YOUNG JAZZ TALENT AWARD competition and, as a result, to have had the opportunity to go on my first tour with my ‘Large Ensemble EVA.’ It was a great joy to bring my music to the stage with my FLINTA band – in the hope of inspiring others and, at the same time, bringing more diversity to the jazz scene.
Despite the pressure of the competition, I believe it is essential for musicians to support one another, network and stand in solidarity with each other. After all, music thrives on exchange, and a genuine community can only exist when everyone is equally free.
I found the encounters with the other nominees particularly enriching. I’m a huge fan of their work, follow their careers with enthusiasm, and wish us all the very best for the future.”

„I am truly grateful to have received the Ringbeck FOUNDATION Scholarship during my studies at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. This support has meant so much to me over the past three years and has allowed me to focus on my education and personal growth without constantly worrying about financial challenges.
Looking back, I can see how much I have grown as a person since starting my studies. The trust and encouragement from Mr. Ringbeck gave me the energy and motivation to move forward, knowing that someone, besides my family, genuinely believed in me. This belief helped me gain confidence and inspired me to keep striving for my goals, even in difficult moments.
It has also been a great pleasure to meet regularly with Mr. and Mrs. Ringbeck. I am very thankful not only for their generous support but also for their kindness, warmth, and genuine care. It touches me deeply to see how much they do for Ukraine and for Ukrainian students and refugees during these challenging times.
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Ringbeck, for your trust, your support, and for believing in me. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on my life, and I will always carry this experience with gratitude and appreciation.“
